When Sandra is in charge, her sense of order makes a tremendous difference in the overall throughput of the ED. She mentors new associates, leads, guides and supports staff. Sandra is the “go to” nurse whenever there are difficult situations within the department. Often times she “pulls it off” while managing a full patient load, supporting the ED staff, working with multiple emergent situations. Sandra has a way of just “making it happen”. The thing that makes Sandra extraordinary is that when she is on the job, it is certain that whatever needs to be done will be done in a timely manner and with great efficiency. Sandra functions in the role of weekend PCC in the Methodist South ED. Sandra is an extraordinary nurse who makes a difference in the lives of so many people by the superhuman work she do every day.
